Privacy Policy for Gym Ledger

Last Updated: August 30, 2026

Gym Ledger ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") is an offline-first application designed to help fitness professionals manage gym and client records.

This Privacy Policy explains what information is entered into Gym Ledger, how that information is stored and used, and what information may be processed by third-party services used by the App.

1. Information You Enter Into the App

Gym Ledger allows you to enter information needed to manage your gym or fitness business. This may include:

Local Storage

The information described above is stored locally on your device in the App's local database.

Privacy Note: Gym Ledger does not operate a server or cloud database for this information, and we do not receive, host, sell, or share your client records, health and fitness information, financial records, photos, or gym records.

The App does not automatically upload these records to us.

2. Third-Party Services

Gym Ledger uses limited third-party services to process subscriptions and in-app purchases.

Google Play Billing

The App uses Google Play's billing system to process purchases and subscriptions.

Payment information such as your credit card or bank account details is handled by Google Play. Gym Ledger does not receive or store your full payment card or bank account information.

RevenueCat

Gym Ledger uses RevenueCat to manage subscription status and entitlement information for the App's Pro features.

RevenueCat may process information such as an app-specific user identifier, subscription status, product information, transaction information, and purchase history as necessary to provide its subscription-management services.

Your client records and locally stored gym records are not uploaded to RevenueCat by Gym Ledger.

For more information, please refer to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy .

3. Analytics, Advertising, and Crash Reporting

Gym Ledger does not use advertising SDKs, third-party analytics services, or third-party crash-reporting services such as Firebase, Sentry, or Mixpanel.

We do not sell your personal information or track your behavior across other apps.

4. App Permissions

Depending on the features you use, Gym Ledger may request the following permissions or access:

Photos / Media

The App may request access to photos or media so that you can select a gym logo or client profile photo.

Selected photos are stored locally on your device and are not automatically uploaded to Gym Ledger's servers.

Notifications

The App may request notification permission to send reminders, including membership-expiry reminders and the Weekly Digest.

Notifications can generally be disabled through your device settings.

Background Operation / Battery Optimization

Certain Android devices may restrict background activity in order to save battery. If you choose to disable battery optimization for Gym Ledger, this may help the App deliver scheduled reminders and the Weekly Digest more reliably.

5. Backups and Exported Data

Gym Ledger provides a backup feature that allows you to create a backup ZIP file containing your locally stored records.

The backup file is created on your device. Gym Ledger does not automatically upload this file to a cloud service.

If you choose to move or upload a backup file to another service, such as Google Drive, email, WhatsApp, or another storage provider, that service will handle the file according to its own privacy policy and terms.

You are responsible for protecting any backup files you create and for choosing where those files are stored.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Because your gym and client records are stored locally on your device, you control their retention.

You can:

Before deleting the App or using the "Nuke All Data" feature, you should create a backup if you may need your records later.

Deleting your local data or uninstalling the App does not necessarily delete purchase or subscription records maintained by Google Play or RevenueCat. Those providers may retain such information according to their own policies and applicable legal obligations.

7. Children's Privacy

Gym Ledger is designed for use by fitness professionals and is not directed toward children as users.

The App does not knowingly collect children's information through a server or online database. If a fitness professional chooses to enter information about a minor into the App, that professional is responsible for ensuring that they have the appropriate authority and consent to collect and store that information and for complying with applicable privacy and data-protection laws.

8. Data Security

Gym Ledger is designed to keep your gym records on your device rather than transmitting them to our servers.

You are responsible for protecting access to your device, the App, and any exported backup files. If your device or an exported backup is accessed by another person, that person may be able to access the information contained within it.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and publish the revised Privacy Policy.
